Kevin Mauger

Kevin Mauger started working for the parent company of Glide-Line the day after college and bought the company 12 years into his career when it was at an all-time low. The company has multiplied in volume 5X since and is growing at 20%+ year over year. In a Surprise Announcement in 2017, in a dream come true, he gave almost half of his company to his employees. Personally, his entire life is based upon spending time with his family, figuring out a way to get out deep sea fishing, and supporting his Philadelphia Eagles. His vision for Glide-Line is to make it the world’s most flexible multi-strand conveyor solution with tools for customers allowing instantaneous response and control of their own destiny along with the fastest deliveries in the industry.

4 Reasons Our Customers Chose Our VTU Conveyors Compared to Competitors'

on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 By | Kevin Mauger | 0 Comments |
Our Vertical Transport Units are some of our most unique innovations that we offer. Departing from the typical pneumatic lifts between only two heights, we’ve developed an entire line of VTUs that use electrically-driven actuators to control the height. We can program for multiple stops throughout the vertical shaft to achieve previously unthought-of efficiency in a single VTU. Here are 4 reasons our clients and their customers choose our VTUs over competitors’.

The Pro’s & Con’s of Semi-Customized Conveyor Systems & Choosing The Right Manufacturing Partner

on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 By | Kevin Mauger | 0 Comments |
Our semi-customized conveyor systems, also called our “custom standard” solutions, are built to be completely configurable. We offer flexibility, configurable sizing, innovative designs, and short lead times. There aren’t too many “cons” when it comes to working with us for semi-customized conveyor systems, but we hope these comparisons will give you some food for thought as you consider your options for the right manufacturing partner.

4 Different Conveyors Driven Off A Single Motor: The Slave Driven Conveyor Solution

When you’re searching for an efficient way to create conveyor system layouts for your customers, Glide-Line has some fantastic “standard custom” solutions for you. Our Customized Standards are standard conveyors configured or even customized to be essentially custom-built for your customer’s process. One such option is to reduce the number of drives, saving costs for equipment and cibtirks, and slave drive power transmitted through our steel tensioned timing belts.

How The Right Workpiece Pallet Conveyor Manufacturer Can Maximize Assembly Manufacturing Productivity

on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 By | Kevin Mauger | 0 Comments | Conveyor System Designs Better Conveyor Design Software
“It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a manufacturer in possession of a good product, must be in want of the right workpiece pallet conveyor.”  Alright, so Austen probably wouldn’t approve of her quote used to describe manufacturing, but it rings true nonetheless. When your client needs a workpiece pallet conveyor manufacturer, they’re looking for the right one for them. The right manufacturer can maximize their assembly manufacturing productivity.

The 3 Ways VTUs Are Just Like Mike and 1 Major Way They're Not

At Glide-Line, VTUs are multi-purpose solutions used to creatively solve challenges other manufacturers have failed to solve. VTUs can be more than a simple application to move products vertically, just as conveyors can be more than a single-function piece of equipment to move products horizontally. Combining them has allowed us to apply creativity to challenges design engineers are asked to solve every day.

Overcoming Space, Size & Product Handling Constraints for Aerospace Industry Integrators

Robotics Tomorrow recently published this article.   From a flexible conveyor manufacturer: industry trends we’re seeing Here at Glide-Line, we make conveyors - specifically, flexible, configurable conveyors built to very specific measurements to fit limited spaces which can be configured with a “zero product to product contact” design philosophy, all with impressively short lead times. We’ve noticed three trends in the past year that are creating demand for what we have to offer:

Cost-Wasting Challenges with Indexing Conveyors & How to Solve Them

Indexing pallets or products along an assembly line has traditionally been accomplished by a series of pneumatic stops that pop up and create physical barriers along the line. This method may work for many of your clients, but not all. The traditional “pop-up” barrier conveyors can cause product damage thanks to hard stops without smooth deceleration or additional control techniques. They can also be dangerous for operators and generally clunky.

Design Hack: The New (Read: Best) Way To Accumulate A Pallet [VIDEO]

on Thursday, April 9, 2020 By | Kevin Mauger | 0 Comments | Solutions for Applications Engineers Flexible Conveyor Solutions
Let’s be honest: traditional accumulation methods are just okay. They’re not the worst, but there are some drawbacks. They cause your client’s conveyor system to run less efficiently (thanks, backpressure and friction), and traditional accumulation methods can also cause product damage due to unavoidable collisions on the line. Even if you add stops to halt progress upstream, products can be jarred and dislodged quickly because there is no gentle deceleration of the pallet.

How To Reduce Maintenance Costs of a Roller Chain Conveyor Solution

Roller chain conveyors are often the first solution that comes to mind when you start looking for cost-effective, heavy duty solutions for a client. However, these traditional conveyors come with a host of expenses, from expected maintenance costs to unthought-of innovation opportunity costs. When application engineers come to us for outside-the-box ideas, we have a solution that addresses these challenges. Here are four common roller chain conveyor maintenance costs the Zero Contact Zoned Conveyor reduces or eliminates.
